Saraya Australia and Nowchem have had a collaborative relationship for several years and in 2019 there was an opportunity for Nowchem to develop a deeper, co-manufacturing approach to producing hand sanitiser for the Australian market.
Saraya looked to Nowchem to manufacture their range of hand sanitiser products in various sizes and formats for the healthcare sector. They needed flexibility in the production volume as well as support in warehousing and national distribution.
With fluctuating volume requirements in 2019 and then a subsequent increase in demand due to COVID19, Saraya needed reassurance of technical expertise, production compliance and flexibility, but also ensure that the product shelf-life was suitable for their customers’ specific market needs. Nowchem was able to provide a flexible contract manufacturing solution.
With a successful co-manufacturing relationship in place for 500mL, 1L and 1.2L bottles, Nowchem was able to ensure consistency in quality whilst being flexible to accommodate different volume requirements, particularly with the outbreak of COVID19. Subsequently, Saraya has expanded their product range to include other size SKU’s, also manufactured on site at Nowchem.
