Frequently Asked Questions

What is your minimum order quantity?
The minimum order (MOQ) for our tanks is 100L. However, all clients must remember that the fixed starting cost does not change and must be paid every time you want to place a new order. It can often be cheaper to place an order with a larger quantity rather than multiple smaller runs over a period.

For example, if you place an order for your product, we charge a starting fee. This starting fee is a fixed rate, and we charge the same amount regardless of the quantity you order (e.g., 100L, 500L, and even 1000L). Rather than paying this fixed rate every time you want more product, we recommend ordering a larger amount of product in one go.
Can Nowchem Pharma & Skincare help with packaging requirements?
We are happy to help you with any packaging and legal requirements regarding packaging to ensure your product is ready for the market. If you have already designed your product covering, we can place an order for your required materials, whether that be primary or secondary packaging. If you are struggling with the design, we will put you in contact with a packaging specialist to help you curate your designed product covering.

The amount of packaging we order for you is based on your primary needs as a business, such as how much product you want to be manufactured, your expenditure cost, how much you expect to sell, and the shelf life of your products (if applicable).

Depending on all these factors, it may be cheaper for your company to bulk order your packaging to reduce company costs in the future.
Who owns and protects my Intellectual Property?
Intellectual property is about who invents the product and who is paid for the invention. If a client brings their IP to Nowchem, they own it. If we need to make minor adjustments to the work or formulation, Nowchem charges for work so you can still own the IP.

If we develop IP (a product) for you based on a marketing brief, then Nowchem owns this till you pay us for the work.

We have a fees and charges sheet based on the type of product. This refers to cosmetic, listed TGA, or registered TGA as all products will have different compliance costs.

What process does your Nowchem Pharma contract manufacturing follow?
If you already have a product ready to be made, we will go straight to signing a non-disclosure agreement to protect your IP. We will provide you with a checklist to gather all necessary information, including ingredients and manufacturing instructions. From there we will contact supplies to find the raw materials needed for your product and provide you with a quote. Once you have accepted the quote and all paperwork has been signed, your order will be placed! Your product will be manufactured and undergo quality control. Once this is complete your product will be shipped off to your desired location!
How do I start the process?
If you have a product ready to be manufactured, you can follow our easy-to-understand Product Development Guide to learn more about your next step!
Find our guide here.
Do you contract manufacture organic and natural products?
Yes, we do! In fact, we have worked with Cherub Rubs, an Australian organic skincare brand for over 20 years. You can read about our customer story section.
If you want to create an organic skincare product, there are a few factors you will need to consider before you start. Formulation of organic skincare products can be tricky; we encourage you to seek a professional DEVELOPER to help formulate your desired product. This is similar to the type of ingredients you want to use in your products, make sure they are not only effective but will work in your formulation!

Once you have the necessary information, we can help track down organic and natural raw materials used in your products and start manufacturing.
